These Terms & Conditions govern your registration for, and participation in, Anchorage 2026, organized by the Department of Ship Technology, Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT). By registering for any event, purchasing a ticket, or otherwise accessing our website, you agree to be bound by the terms set out below.

01 ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

By accessing our website, creating an account, registering for any event, or completing a payment, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions, along with our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please discontinue use of the website and refrain from registering for any event.

02 ELIGIBILITY & REGISTRATION
Eligibility

Participation is open to the categories of attendees specified for each individual event (such as students, faculty, or the general public). The organizers reserve the right to verify eligibility and to deny or cancel registration where the stated criteria are not met.

Accuracy of Information

You are responsible for ensuring that the name, contact details, institution, and other information provided at the time of registration are accurate and current. The organizers are not liable for any issue arising from incorrect or outdated information supplied by a participant.

Confirmation

A registration is considered confirmed only once payment, where applicable, has been successfully processed and verified by the organizers. Submitting a form or initiating a payment does not, by itself, guarantee a seat or entry.

03 CODE OF CONDUCT
General Conduct

All participants, attendees, and visitors are expected to conduct themselves with courtesy and respect. The following will not be tolerated and may result in removal from the venue without refund:

  • Harassment, ragging, bullying, or discrimination of any kind
  • Possession of prohibited items, including weapons, intoxicants, or banned substances
  • Damage to venue property, equipment, or the belongings of others
  • Disruption of scheduled events or interference with other participants
Venue & Campus Rules

Participants must comply with all instructions issued by organizers, volunteers, security personnel, and CUSAT campus authorities, as well as any venue-specific rules in force during the event.

04 FEES, PAYMENTS & REFUNDS
Registration Fees

Applicable fees are displayed at the time of registration and may include a convenience or processing fee. All payments must be made through the official payment channels provided on the website.

Refund Policy

Registration fees are generally non-refundable and non-transferable, except where a refund is explicitly approved by the organizers — for instance, in the case of a payment error, duplicate transaction, or cancellation of an event by the organizers. Approved refunds may take a reasonable processing time to reflect in your account.

05 EVENT CHANGES & CANCELLATIONS
Schedule & Format Changes

The organizers reserve the right to modify the date, time, venue, format, or speaker/judging panel of any event, with reasonable prior notice communicated through the website, email, or other registered contact channels.

Force Majeure

The organizers shall not be held liable for any delay, modification, or cancellation of an event caused by circumstances beyond their reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, extreme weather, government restrictions, strikes, technical or infrastructural failures, or public health emergencies.

06 PHOTOGRAPHY, MEDIA & PUBLICITY

By attending or participating in Anchorage 2026, you consent to being photographed, filmed, or recorded, and you grant the organizers a non-exclusive, royalty-free right to use such photographs, video, or audio for promotional, archival, or reporting purposes across the website, social media, and other official channels, without separate compensation or notice.

07 LIABILITY & DISCLAIMER
Personal Belongings

The organizers are not responsible for the loss, theft, or damage of any personal belongings brought onto the venue premises.

Health & Safety

Participants attend and take part in all activities at their own risk. Except in cases of proven gross negligence on the part of the organizers, the organizers, CUSAT, and their volunteers and staff shall not be liable for any injury, illness, or loss arising during the event.

08 INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All branding, logos, designs, and content published on this website are the property of Anchorage 2026 and the Department of Ship Technology, CUSAT, and may not be reproduced or used without prior written permission. Participants retain ownership of any original work they create or submit, but grant the organizers a limited license to use such work for event-related and promotional purposes.

09 GOVERNING LAW & JURISDICTION

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these terms or your participation in Anchorage 2026 shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Ernakulam, Kerala.
